Chapter 1125: Ultima Synthleaf

Chapter 1125: Ultima Synthleaf

"While levels are not that important for a combat master, it still doesn't sit right with me to give up something I earned. Well, not that I plan on letting it get to that point." Izroth said to himself with a carefree smile.

Izroth's first thought was to simply destroy the sphere. While chaos in the surrounding space would ensue, Izroth was confident in his ability to escape to a safe distance in time. He also knew that someone as sturdy as Empyrean would be able to survive. The issue was that Selene did not have the same durability as Empyrean.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Izroth knew that Selene had a Rebirth skill and would likely revive if anything happened to her; however, he could not bring himself to employ such a method unless it became an absolute necessity. After all, there was no way of knowing if there was a potential price to be paid for such a reckless revival.

'Even if I'm willing to wait until Void Turning is off cooldown, there is no guarantee that the sphere won't lose control before then. I have to find another way.'

In truth, Izroth had a few ideas in mind; however, most of them involved using Zakra's Harmonic Spear of Causality or Void Turning.

But, just like Void Turning, Zakra's Harmonic Spear of Causality was also on cooldown.

During his time in The Void, Izroth decided to use Zakra's Harmonic Spear of Causality to completely rid himself of the dark frost brought about by Glacia's Black Winter Fence.

Back when he initially suppressed the dark frost, it placed Zakra's Harmonic Spear of Causality on a cooldown of three days. As for completely ridding himself of its effects, it put the skill on a cooldown of two weeks!

As Izroth closed his eyes and pondered his next course of action, a few seconds later, his eyes reopened.

'A window... Back when I touched the sphere, I could feel the Soul Link being reestablished. It must mean that there is a crack somewhere in the space contained within the sphere, most likely due to its deteriorating state of control. If so, I may not need to go into the sphere itself or destroy it to get them out. I just have to find a way to keep that window open long enough for Empyrean and Selene to make it through.'

"Before that, I have to make sure they understand my intentions." Izroth said as he once again set his sights on the sphere at the room's center.

Since a Soul Link was established when he touched the sphere, Izroth wanted to try it again. This time, however, he wanted to communicate his intentions to Empyrean and Selene so that they could properly prepare to make a move when the time came. His only hope of doing this was through the Soul Link. After that, he could only hope that the two could grasp what he aimed to do.

...

Approximately three minutes later...

Zeeeut!

Izroth had just used Space Defying Tread to move to the passageway instantly.

'I tried to keep the message as simple and short as possible, but... Even though I felt the connection again, it was too faint to tell if it managed to get through or not.'

Just like last time, Izroth waited until the right moment before he activated Flickering Steps and touched the sphere. During that time, he sent the same short message as many times as he could through Soul Link. Though to call it a message was not entirely accurate. If anything, it was closer to a feeling or natural understanding.

Nevertheless, Izroth felt that regardless of how many times he tried, he would be met with the same results. Therefore, he could only proceed to the next step of his plan.

Izroth removed a Artificial Plant: Ultima Synthleaf from his inventory. Despite its name, rather than a plant, it resembled a dense feather. It was thin and transparent to the point that one could clearly see right through it. There was a mysterious fusion of energies that seemed to linger in the Ultima Synthleaf, one of which was mana. As for the other energy sources, Izroth could detect a few familiar ones; however, most of them were ones he had never come across before in RML.

Almost immediately after Izroth took the Ultima Synthleaf out of his inventory, he felt it trembling nonstop. It was as if the Ultima Synthleaf was reacting to the strong presence of the surrounding chaotic space.

The Ultima Synthleaf was created using an ingenious fusion of science and magic. It was capable of copying one element and evolving it in a unique way. This made it ideal for crafting and synthesizing things.

As for what the Ultima Synthleaf would evolve into, naturally, Izroth was unaware of the specifics. After all, there were only brief mentions and references to the Ultima Synthleaf in Zitra's research notes.

Izroth found this unusual and uncharacteristic of someone with science so deeply ingrained in him. Therefore, Izroth's thoughts led him in another direction. But, he did not linger too much on it. In the end, he had a more pressing matter to confront.

'Now... How should I go about this?'

This was Izroth's first time using a Ultima Synthleaf and it did not exactly come with a set of instructions. Though, as if reading Izroth's thoughts, an alert popped up from the system. [System Alert: [2] compatible elements for the <<Artificial Plant: Ultima Synthleaf>> have been detected nearby. Would you like to activate the <<Artificial Plant: Ultima Synthleaf»>?

Not long after he received the system alert, a translucent screen appeared before him with two choices.

The first choice was "Earth", while the option underneath it was "Space".

'Oh? It shows earth listed as an element, but not wind even though its all around us. Then, does it determine which elements to list based on the quantity and quality of its overall presence?' Although it was his first time using the Ultima Synthleaf, Izroth quickly gained an understanding of how it worked. Though he did not dwell on it too long. He did not hesitate to select the "Space" option as the translucent screen in front of him vanished. Immediately after the screen disappeared, Izroth could feel the aura contained within the Ultima Synthleaf undergo a complete transformation. It was to the point that it became unrecognizable from its original aura.

The Ultima Synthleaf's transparent appearance also changed and was replaced a spectrum of fluctuating colors. Furthermore, even though it was not visible to the average person, Izroth could see it thanks to his Spatial Awareness passive-the distorted space that now

encompassed the Ultima Synthleaf.

[System Alert: The <<Artificial Plant: Ultima Synthleaf>> has absorbed the surrounding <<Element: Space>> and undergone a transformation![]

[System Alert: The <<Artificial Plant: Ultima Synthleaf>> has gained the attribute <<Spatial Ebb

and Flow»>!

In RML, when it came to attributes, they could be likened to special traits of a particular

element.

For example, two individuals could use the fire element, but one could have the attribute of "Scorching" that would make it difficult for things it burned to heal or regenerate. While the other could have an attribute of "Undying Flames", meaning that it would be near impossible to extinguish the fire using normal methods.
